Pilot Name: II/KG200 Loki Aircraft Type: Bf-109f4 Target Duties: Patrol Targets Destroyed: 4 Twin Engine A/C (3x PE-2, 1x DB-3) Mission End Status: RTB Points: 800
Mission Debriefing: Took off from Janis as Leader flight of 4, 2 AI and CSS List. Flew along the Tango Grid at about a 0 heading. NW of Dobin Doso and Quax happened upon a flight of IL-2's, Grayrays flight and my flight provided high cover. Then my flight encountered flight of 4x PE-2s. List and I engaged them, Grayray, Doso and Quax provided High cover. List and I killed the flight. then Doso and Quax found a flight of DB-3s. They destroyed this flight. At this time Diesel and Evil radioed that they were under attack near Riga. All fighters proceeded to Riga. Doso and Quax killed the Laggs chasing Evil. I found diesel and was making sure he was clear when he went in over a factory. Everything was clear so we proceeded to ward Riga. NE of Riga we came upon an I-16 and 2x DB-3's that had/were landing. All fighters Strafed them. We then all proceeded to Mitau where we strafed the remaining A/C and gun emplacements, List, Doso, Grayray and Quax finished off the AAA and remaining static A/C. Running low on ammo and fuel we RTB. Good flying and Great Teamwork with all fighters....

Pilot Name: I/KG26_Alpha AircraftType: He111H-6 2 x Sc 2000kg Target Duties: Riga Airfield Targets Destroyed: 36 Aircraft Mission End Status: landed at Schrunden Points: 720
Mission Debriefing:
It was a fine afternoon and the crew breathed in deep as we were at the runway threshold with so much fuel and those big bombs on the Heinkle again, but once we were gear and flaps up they breathed out again slowly as we heaved up into the air.
I made a slow turn to target heading from Schrunden on a 75' course and set climb rate to 500m per min with the Jumos revs set for maximum climb all was looking good with the crew checking everything they could too pass the time. Riga was in for an large scale attack today as was Mitau, I had 5000m alt set in the bombsite and we all felt safe at this altitude as we reached the cruise speed and leveled off to the inbound heading and alt. Riga soon came up in the bombsite and a slight course adjustment to the starboard put the bombardier on target for the airfield, 85mm flak was filling the skies around us and as soon as I heard bombs away I swung away from the flak filled target area and set a RTB course for Schrunden. The gondola gunner reported a perfect hit and soon got his stash of schnapps out of and passed it around the aircraft, they all had a good swig and got back on station with big grins on their faces.
The rtb was a quiet one it seems like the recon pilots gave us a good safe route in and out, after a safe landing the bar was full of the usual faces but a few were missing and a beer drank in their absence.
S!

Pilot Name: I/KG26_Diesel AircraftType: Ju-87-B 1 SC-250, 4 SC-50 Bombs, 100 % Fuel, Ju-88A-4 2-SC 500, 18-SC 50 Bombs, 100 % Fuel Target Duties: Enemy Units In Riga Targets Destroyed: 8 Tanks, 38 Vehicles, 2 Other Mission End Status: ? Points: ?
Mission Debriefing: Took off from Janischken in a Ju-87 with Hans Weise as my rear gunner from my Ju-88 crew. Weather was a little foggy and as I had not been in Ju-87 for a while it was different to say the least. Climbed to 1000m and headed to Riga up the main MSR . In V 20 spotted enemy supply column and made report over the radio about it. Spotted a large dog fight going on in V 22, our guys were hamming the hell out of the Ivan,s. Stayed clear, and continued toward Riga. Came in at 1000m over Riga, spotted the enemy and made my bomb run, man did I hammer them. As I looked back, large part of Riga was on fire from the huge explosion. Spotted enemy tanks in V 24 and made a report over the radio. Headed out over the water to avoid enemy fighters. Turned and flew to Schrunden and landed safely. We meant the rest of our Ju-88 crew there and were told the Ivan’s were reinforcing Riga with new units. We took off in Ju-88 and headed back to Riga. We stayed on our side of the front so as to try to avoid enemy fighters. Than turn for Riga in T 24 out over the water. Spotted I-16 in U 24, but with our speed we easily out ran it. Had just out ran the I-16 when we spotted 4 Laggs in V 24, lucky they did not see us. Turned in W 24 toward Riga and made our bomb run at the new supply column, hit them hard, but as I powered up the engines, left engine cut out and the aircraft powered over and we crashed in a lake in Riga. With all the confusion of the bombing and fires we were able to get out plane on seen. We made our way to the water front, where we borrowed a small boat and rowed like hell out to the open sea. As luck would have it we wear spotted by a high speed E-Boat returning from a mission. They picked us up and we headed for their home base. At their base we were picked up by Ju-52 and taken back to Schrunden. Once back at base I put in a recommendation that my crew all be awarded Iron Cross Second Class for their actions during this mission. I awarded myself 2 large bottles of Schnapps, 2 pounds of Limburger cheese, and 2 loaves of bread.

Sunday 21th January Pilot Name:I/KG26_Evil AircraftType:JU-87 Target Duties:SUPPLY COLUMNS Targets Destroyed:7Trucks,1-Tank Mission End Status:Landed safe Points:215 Mission Debriefing: I was lead plane in a group of 4 Stutka-87s.Mission for the day was supply columns in the Riga area.Take-off was routine. Our route was going to be along the msr skirt Mitau and pickup the msr again to Riga. Our first column was reported in the Olai area thanks to our eagle eye fighters.I was west of Olai when we were jumped by 4 fighters,i stuck the nose down and dived for speed ,formation was tight and our tgs shot one of the fighters down,The other fighters were regrouping when i spotted the column at Olai.We dove down dropped and seen some hits.Within a few minutes the fighters were back and pissed for shooting down there comrade. With things going badly it didnt seem tht we were going to make our target w-22 area. After dodging the enemy we ended up at Riga airfield so i sent them into to attack, seeing tht it was our only target in sight and things were not going the way we anticipated i figured this might be our only chance to drop our ordinance. The attack only lasted a few minutes and when it was over we were down 2 planes.i escaped the area with my wingman and started for home.On the way we were looking for targets i spotted another column sw of riga.we attacked and destroyed 3 or 4 vehicles. As soon as we were done dropping another group of enemy fighters had started to engage us i called for assisstance and within a few brief minutes i seen some friendlys Doso,Quax and Loki they shot down the fighters in what seem like very good time and saved our asses ,thanks to you guys great job Well i did a damage assessment and found that i was missing a few things like my left gear, left stabilizer, left elavator and was leaking fuel. Not wanting to push my luck i sent my wingy home and headed strait for the base.Landing was a bit touchy but i pulled it off and will live to write another brief. We were really in for a few stiff drinks to calm the nerves after this one. Once again great job escorts !!!!!
