Pilot Name: I/KG26_Diesel AircraftType: Ju 87 D-3 75% Fuel 1-500 sc and 2-250 sc bombs Target Duties: Attack enemy tanks R-21 Targets Destroyed: 0 Mission End Status: Landed safe at home base Points: 0
Mission Debriefing: Took off third, and turned toward targets climbing to 1000m. Weather was good and Fishey was with me. Spotted targets right where recon said where they would be. Stayed high as Fishey made some passing attacks at the tanks. Think he got one. Then took my turn. Need more time as all my bombs missed long. Made 2 or 3 passes machine gunning the troops supporting the tanks. Turned for home and made safe landing. Seen Cowboys 109 sitting on runway with it's gear up. Hope he's ok. Diesel

Pilot Name:I/KG26_Wulf AircraftType:Ju-88/2 SC 500, 18 SC 50 Target Duties: AA/convoy Targets Destroyed:1 AA/11 trucks Mission End Status:RTB Points:335
Mission Debriefing:Flew as #4 for airfield attack. Redcoat was flight leader, we received briefing in flight I was instructed to engage flack as rest of flight drew flack. Got an AA on my first pass, turned clockwise dropped a set of 50's on radio truck and control tower. At this time regained Alt. to draw flack for rest of flight. Started to make attack run on what was thought to be trucks but turned out to be tents, informed rest of flight. To the NW saw a group of laggs engaged with our escorts, might I add they did a jam up job! At the same moment Grayray was attacking a large convoy South of town, made 2 passes as the convoy turned cross country toward the airfield. Redcoat called for flight to rejoin and proceed North down MSR were we found a group of 4 light enemy tanks I was bingo bombs and ordered to RTB. Landing was good, received light right motor damage to the oil cooler, can be patched up and flight rdy in 4 hrs.

Pilot Name: I/KG26_Alpha Aircraft Type: Ju88A-4 Target Duties: Recon & destroy tanks at Schaulen A/F Targets Destroyed: 3 x Tanks Mission End Status: Landed at Airfield Points: 120
Mission Debriefing: After the recon mission I was sitting at the end of the runway last to take off on a solo mission to Schaulen a/f with full knowledge that my timing was critical as the Town was under attack due to our troops capturing Schaulen. I made my heading approx 160' @ 2000m and had a very quiet flight across the Latvian countryside, Schaulen came up fast and it was time to act quickly, I took out my binos and reccced the towns Eastern side then the airfield control tower where I saw the enemy armour. I quickly set up the Revi to 900m alt 480kph, flew over the target area, throttled back, set dive brakes and nosed her over into a 40' dive waiting for the klaxon to sound as I dove in on the armour, I acquired the tanks in the Revi just before the klaxon sounded off and released my payload pulling up as hard as possible to avoid the blast from the bombs, I rolled out and leveled off at 12oom and headed for Fraeunburg a/f. My tail gunner request the binos and he had a good look reporting all armour had been destroyed. After 60 seconds he also reported I16's and Stumo's attacking out troops in the south of Schaulen so I radioed in this attack to HQ. After what seemed an age I spotted Fraeunburg a/f and made a long approach on to the r/way 27 as the west end was blocked by a JG26 pilots aircraft, seems he abandoned it and headed straight to the bar.............
All bombers RTB'd this week and the celebrations went long into the night.

Pilot Name:Redcoat AircraftType:JU88 Target Duties:Airfield attack, Janishken Targets Destroyed:11 cars, 1 aaa Mission End Status:Landed at base safe Points:335
Mission Debriefing:
Took lead of AH flight, with Madjek and Wulf, with Grayray as support(leading AK flight) for the airfield attack at Janishken. Loaded up with 50% fuel, 2 500scs and 18 50s.
We headed south east from Frauenburg towards Janishken at roughly 1500m, with top cover from Scannon, Malino and Cowboy.
On arrival at target, I ordered a clockwise pattern of attack, with myself and Madjek drawing the flak for Wulfs first run. He destroyed one gun, leaving Madjek to attack the other. I lost my rear gunner over flying the airfield flak, but other than that took no damage. Circling on my first pass took me close to the town of Janishken, and imediatly 3 flak positions where revealed by the tracer fire. I requested Grayray look to thosewith his AI, while we pounded the airfield. We made numerous passes, with Wulf and Madjek destroying the tower and radio truck, while I pitched my first set ( the 500s) on a row of tents. We located and destroyed the heavier calibre guns, and looked towards the dead ground between the airfield and the runway. It seems the flak at the town was mobile, part of convoys attemting to resupply the airfield. Grays flight had already drawn the teeth from them by killing the flak, so we all spent 5 mins mopping up the trucks. All were destroyed I belive.
We then headed north of the town, to follow the msr. Just north of the town, four tanks were spotted straddling the road. Gray, Wulf and Madjek made a run on them, with Gray and Wulf finding they were out of bombs, and Madjek killing one of them. Wulf and Gray rtb'd, Wulf with a smoking engine, and me and Madjek pressed on North.
We sighted a convoy coming south, so I over flew drawing flak while Madjek came in a few moments behind me and destroyed most of it. Two trucks survived I think. We moved along north and I spotted what looked like two convoys side by side in the dead ground between the road and railway, just south east of the double bridges south of Mitau. I went straight in and dropped my remaining bombs into them. Madjek made a run on the road bridge, but was out of bombs.
We rtb'd east to Frauenburg, and after a bit of a wait, we both landed safley.
The attack at Janishken was very well done, with great coordination and mutual support by all. I think that Grayrays extra flight really lent weight to the effort, and with so many aircraft it was dificult for the flak to target us. Also the 109 escort did an excellent job, intercepting an R10 on arrival at the target, and some laggs that showed up a few moments later. The enemey fighters had no chance of getting through to us bombers, and we were completely uninterupted.
I belive that we put Janisken base out of action, and at the same time managed to intercept and destroy Russian efforts to resupply the place.

Pilot Name: I/KG26_MadJek Aircraft Type:JU-88A4 [Loadout 2x 250kg 28 50kg bombs 50% fuel] Target Duties:Destroy Janischken Airfield Search and Destroy MSR Targets Destroyed:2 Tanks 3 Car 2 AAA Mission End Status: Landed at Fraunenburg Points: 275
Mission Debriefing:
Flew as #3 in Redcoat's flight with Wulf in the #4 position. The air was clean and the sky was big from the start. Redcoat took our flight, along with Grayray's flight, to the airfield at Janischken. Today we were going to provide an advance strike on the Soviets, then allow our ground pounders to mop up with a mechanized attack. Redcoat took us to the airfield on about a 126 hdg at 1500m. On the flight to the target visibility was very good. I could see for many kilometers in all directions. We were able to spot an oncoming Soviet bomber (R-10) and called out its location to the fine pilots of JG26. The pounced on it, and I'm sure, left it a hunk of burning scrap. We continued on to target after this brief encounter. When we arrived near the airfield Redcoat called out the assignments. He would go in and draw flak, as Wulf and myself would attack the AAA and radio tower. Redcoat stayed high and directed the action as Wulf, and then myself, hit the small caliber (25mm?) AAA in succession. Redcoat advised that I wait 20 seconds before making my run, thus giving Wulf and I enough space not to collide. Wulf nailed his gun. I dove in on mine hitting it with my 2x250kg bombs. (I almost took my props off on the dive. Far too close to the ground. My rear gunner said he saw a wake come off the river to the south of the airfield as we passed over it.) Nevertheless, I came back around on a clockwise pattern around the airfield. I heard Redcoat call out targets in the town and Grayray's flight began to systematically destroy them. As this was going on, I maintained my pattern around the airfield and saw Wulf hit the control tower with a nice run. After he took out the control tower I was tasked with confirming it's destruction. I made a low level pass and saw that it was down. I also began looking for the large caliber AAA guns still firing in the area. I was unable to locate them. I continued to circle clockwise looking for targets. The other Kampffliger were giving Ivan hell. There were several vehicles blowing up in the area. I even saw enemy tents being destroyed. All the while, Redcoat was assisting in directing bombers to targets and making runs on targets himself. I was able to benefit from this as he was able to direct me to the large caliber flak in the area. I made a run on what appeared to be an 85mm gun and successfully blew it to pieces. I again resumed a clockwise pattern around the area. Wulf and Grayray were cleaning up stray trucks trying to make a break for cover at the airfield. As we left the area and headed north, it was apparent that the carnage left behind was massive, and what what my rear gunner called a "devastating attack on Ivan." During the entire attack, my beobachter did call out one bandit in the area of the airfield, but, when I looked out my port side window to locate it, I noticed two of our escorts already trailing him. We were continuing up the MSR when again my beobachter spotted a row of four tanks in the road just north of the town. (Sector U-16?) Grayray made a run on the tanks, but he was out of ordinance. He advised me to make my run in the opposite direction in an effort to locate the tanks better. I turned my crate and proceeded to make a west to east approach on the BT-7's. I released my bombs only to hear my rear gunner call out confirmed hits on just one BT-7 and several of our bombs falling long. After my run, Redcoat and I headed north up the MSR; as Wulf RTB with a smoking engine and Grayray RTB with his flight to keep the mechanics happy with undamaged aircraft. As Redcoat and I headed north, he quickly spotted a convoy and drew the flak as I headed in to hit it. My crew called out explosions on the convoy and we continued up the MSR. As we neared 2 bridges in the sector of U-19 Redcoat made a run on a convoy near the bridge. All I saw were large plumes of black smoke and orange fire bursts. On Redcoat's request, I made a pass on the road bridge in the sector. A quick tactical decision to sever the MSR further south. As I made my approach, I noticed flak firing at me, I wasn't sure where it was coming from, so be advised of possible small caliber flak guns in the area. I continued my run on the bridge. I went to release my remaining bombs, but unfortunately I was out of ordinance and broke left empty handed heading west. Redcoat and I were now both out of ordinance and RTB on an approximate 270 heading. As we got closer to base, I noticed 2 dots on our high 10. We were unable to confirm if they were friendly or bandits. They were heading in a westerly direction. Air traffic was heavy at our aerodrome in Fraunenberg and landing was a little tricky for this shaky of a pilot. I noticed my fuel was getting low and made a quick landing, cutting my way in. The mission went very smooth because of the excellent flight leading of Redcoat and the precision bombing of Wulf and Grayray. Our escort was also very quick to react to any threats in the area.

With Diesel as my wingman we arrived over the target area (R21) and quickly spotted 7 Bt-7's as we began our bomb runs friendly ground units also began their attack. My first run was on the 4 trailing vehicles, it appeared I hit one on the bend but the shell fire from friendly AT's was intense, by the time we were getting ready to leave only 1 of 7 BT's remained all of which were destroyed by ground units. Diesel and I flew home and landed safely.
