Pilot Name: I/KG26_Diesel Aircraft Type: JU 88-A4 S2+DM 2-500 SC + 18-50 SC BOMBS 100% FUEL Target Duties: ENEMY UNITS NEAR Kiev N-10 Targets Destroyed: 1 FIGHTER AIRCRAFT, 3 BRIDGES Mission End Status: Bailed out over friendly territory !!!! Points: 50
Mission Debriefing: Took off from Berdychev last, with Grayray as flight leader. Weather was nice, plane handled heavy on the controls, climbed to 3500m and headed to target area. Got jumped by two Laggs and two Migs right out of the clouds in M-10. Right away took hits in right engine and our fuel tanks. Start to leak fuel very fast and right engine caught on fire. Droped alt and made a run for it toward our lines. One Ivan came after us, but we were able to shoot him down. In M-8 we droped bombs on rail road bridge and regular tank bridge. On the way home in K-8 just for luck we bombed another bridge. We just got to our lines with MadJek as our escort in his Ju 87 Stuka and we had to bail out as we ran out of fuel and I was having hard time controling the plane. MadJek radioed our position so we were picked up almost right away. Had a nice ride back to base!

Sunday 25th March
(Kiev: December 17, 1941) Pilot Name:I/KG26_Alpha AircraftType:He111H-2 30 sc50's 50% fuel Target Duties:Industrial area at Yagotin Targets Destroyed:30 fuel silos Mission End Status:Landed at Base Points:900
Mission Debriefing:
Had a good egress to the target area at 5500m 270kph, this mission we had escorts sweeping ahead of the bomber group and we needed them as reports came in of enemy fighters over Yagotin City.
I took a 90' heading and set up the bombsite for cruise and alt, problem was Yagotin was covered in thick clouds, I just had to keep clicking back the bombsite until at almost 35' i saw the target perfectly and got bombs away. I swung the He111 on to the RTB course and headed home, the flight back was very quiet too quiet in fact and at 7000m on the rtb i wasnt taking any chances with the last missions events. I was looking in the bombsite reconning the town on the way homw when enemy bombers passed under me very low, I reported this on the radio and fighters took an intercept course.
I made a standard decent to our home airfield from 7000m and cleared the tower for landing.
The bar was full of happy bomber pilots today so we all got drunk asap.

Pilot Name: JG26_Yip AircraftType: Bf109F-4 Target Duties: Sweep Targets Destroyed: 1 LaGG, 1 DB-3 Mission End Status: RTB Points: 300
Mission Debriefing: Took off in #4 position (White 4) as wingman for element leader Without. Bru and Mama flew #s 1 & 2. Mama called out 3 contacts over sweep area in AX9. Without dove after one -- I stayed high for cover. A LaGG popped up in front of me so I jumped on its 6 and gave it a burst with all guns. He went in. We cleared the air over target -- Without and Bru killing the other two LaGG's -- and joined up with 3 He111's as they dropped their ordinance. We then escorted them partway home. Alpha informed us of enemy bombers in H2 heading 090. Brubaker led us on an intercept course. We made contact in AL1. Bru and Without both made good runs on #'s 2 & 3. Without left his burning. I attacked #1 from left to right. Good hits on his left wing put him into the ground. Bru finished his bomber -- All bombers killed. We followed the roads and railway lines back toward our base looking for ground targets. Nothing to report except heavy flak over Belaia cerkov. RTB without incident.

Pilot Name: Jg2001 Aircraft Type: 8x Me109 F2/F4 Target Duties: Cover AF F9 and M10 Targets Destroyed: 5 FIGHTER AIRCRAFT, Mission End Status: 1 emergency landing, rest safe Mission Debriefing: We splitt us into 2 groups, one to cover own Af in F9 with success und the second group to cover Af in M10 with middle success. We took off in AF9 and makes us on the way to AM10, if we hear that the Ju87 were under attack (40km to them). So we change altitude versus speed and beguns with sinking and hope that we arrives early enough, to safe Madjek and his Stukas. Madjek tells us every few minutes his position and we reach just in the right minutes our meetingpoint in AL10, when a Mig starts his attackrun on him. We splitt us, ordered the KI to attack, so we could attack all the migs at the same time. This was an good decision, than a few minutes later all migs were down and Madjek make his way safe and clear to base (well fightig Madjek,S!). After that we makes our way to M10 to proteckt our tanks, but we comes a tick to late. We saw the 3xPe2 and we angaded them, but the leader Pe2 drops his bomb. But the rest missed there target and pressed them to the north from the AF, where we havent so much and hard AA.fire. But with this rescue, we lost 2 Bf109 with bad hits in the engine..so my wingmen and i trys to make an rtb to the own lines. So Haubi leads this flight and ordered a cap over the last tanks. Was an good idea, because a few minutes later his KI spotted low incoming Il2. But with low ammo he could only damaged them and 1-2 must he leave flying to F9. So our first group make leave his place and flight hdg the frontborder where they found only Il2. The rest seems to be shoot down by the KI. So both place were safe and so the Jg makes rtb to prevent more casualties and drinking the promised milk from Madjek Salute Quax PS: maybee the next time the first Stukas and He111 makes a turn to wait for the escort?? its a long way from F9 to help over Kiev after 10minutes:D PPS: Alpha could you look pls whats going wrong with my registration Check your PM at jg2001 forum

Date: 17.12.41 Time: 1300hrs Weather: Poor Cloud Height: 1608m Pilot Name: I/KG26_MadJek Aircraft Type:JU-87B2 [Loadout 1x1000kg bomb 100% fuel] Target Duties: Destroy enemy armor at Boshiagovka airfield Targets Destroyed: 3 Artillery Pieces Mission End Status: Landed at Berdychev Points: 90
Mission Debriefing:
The skies over the Kiev region again seemed misty and gray with our most recent weather. At 3200m and a heading of 060’, I was in my trusty Stuka as the #4 plane. (S2+DH) Our division’s flight to Kiev was uneventful until we arrived in the target area itself. Once we reached the target area, Borshiagovka Airfield, I noticed several cons off my 1 o’clock. I quickly called them out over the radio. By this time, our radio channels were already humming with activity. The boys in our Ju-88s had come under enemy fire, probably from the contacts I had seen on my 1 o’clock. Needless to say, I heard back from White flight. (JG2001_Quax and JG2001_Haubi) They were approximately 40km away, but coming fast.
With the enemy aircraft nearby, I was getting restless waiting for the order to turn into our target and begin our bomb run. I kept glancing out my windows looking for any enemy aircraft to appear. All too soon, I spotted a Soviet Mig attacking the Stukas in front of me. I was near the airfield I was order to attack tanks at, so I quickly veered towards it and searched out the Soviet armor. I thought I spotted it while over the airfield. I wanted to be certain, as we were all aware of friendly forces in the area. I winged over and became intent on the Revi sight in front of me. I looked and looked for the targets I thought I had just seen. I couldn’t find them, so I decided to abort my dive. I pulled back on the stick, retracted my airbrakes, and gave my crate full throttle. As soon as I leveled out, my rear gunner called out Soviet artillery. There were three artillery pieces in a line moving approximately north to south. Knowing that there were enemy fighters in the area, I wanted to drop my 1000kg bomb as fast as I could and head for our airfield at Berdychev. However, I knew the importance of destroying this target. I swung my crate around and lined up on the artillery. I released my bomb at low level coming right over the ducking heads of the Soviet artillery men. Feeling the shock wave of the 1000kg bomb, and hearing my gunner scream out in excitement that we had destroyed the three guns, brought a great deal of relief.
Perhaps it was a lapse in judgment, or a desire to be certain that all the Soviet forces at the airfield were destroyed, but I again swung my crate around to double check if there was any Soviet armor in the area. Having only seen burned out Soviet tank hulls and broken artillery pieces, I headed for home. As I was on an approximate heading of 240’, I received a call over my radio form White flight. Quax was checking to see how I was doing with the enemy aircraft that were in the area. I reported that I hadn’t seen any for the past few minutes. I thought that they had stayed high as I went low. He reported his position and we cleared communications.
In an instant, after ending my previous transmission, my rear gunner yelled out, “Indianer!” I heard the familiar staccato of his gun going off and pushed my nose down to gain what speed I could. No sooner had I done this, than White flight showed up! I heard my gunner hit his head on the canopy in jubilation as he began yelling for Quax and Haubi to get that Ivan bastard! White flight swooped in and, without hesitation, cut down the Migs lurking about. What a relief.
Quax and Haubi gave me the all clear and I headed for home. As I headed out on a 240’ heading I met up with Diesel. He was clearly visible with his starboard engine smoking. I changed heading and formed up on his distant five, as he warned me not to get to close. He said his engine had already caught fire once and he didn’t know what would happened if it caught fire again. As we were on our way to Zitomir airfield, Diesel and I both noticed a contact moving across our right to left near the town of Hordorkov. I went to investigate. As I went to scout out the aircraft, Diesel radioed me that he was out of fuel and was ordering his crew to bail out. I radioed to home base his location and had a truck move to pick he and his crew up.
The contact I went to investigate turned out to be Stuka S2+BH from my flight. He was following behind S2+AH. They were both returning to base. I assumed the 240’ heading and went in to make my landing at Berychev airfield.
After climbing out of my crate and telling everyone at the base my story of the perfect time the fighter pilots from JG2001 had, I was abruptly pulled to the ground. A soviet recon plane was over our base and began strafing my plane. It passed just overhead of me. The pilot must have been a rookie, because he went straight into the ground. He never made an attempt to pull up. After this ordeal, I headed to the officers club. I bought drinks all night long and toasted all the fine pilots in today’s mission! S~ I/KG26_MadJek
**Perfect timing to Quax and Haubi! Great shooting too! Many thanks! ~S~
