Pilot Name: I/KG26_MadJek AircraftType:JU-88A4 [Loadout 2x500kg & 18x50kg bombs 50% fuel] Target Duties:Destroy enemy Flak at Tauroggen & Polangen Airfields Targets Destroyed:3 AAA and 2 Static Aircraft Mission End Status:KIA Points: 0
Mission Debriefing: **This Flight Log entry was found in the wreckage of a JU-88A-4 just West of Tauroggen**
Took of as #3 in I/KG26_Wulf’s flight with AI in #2 and HK_Grayray in the #4 slot. Took off from Tilsit Airfield and had to make circle to pick up HK_Grayray who was having trouble with his engines. After circling our flight was able to join up and proceed to target. Noticed a flight of JU-87’s off to our 4 o’clock heading in the same direction. As we approached the target, a call came out over the radio of “Bandits!” I quickly got a glimpse of a single Mig fighter. There may have been more, but that is all I was able to see. Noticed the Mig fighter coming around on I/KG26_Wulf. Having no escort I turned my crate in an attempt to assist. I was unable to turn in time and continued back to the airfield behind the Mig and I/KG26_Wulf. On my way to Tauroggen Airfield I saw the Mig shoot our #2 AI aircraft. I saw chutes open before his crate exploded on impact. I then saw a smoke cloud close to the airfield and heard I/KG26_Wulf say HK_Grayray had gone in. Amongst some of the confusion, a call came out over the radio to make a run on the AAA at the airfield. I made my run on a 20mm AAA at the Norhwest side of the airfield. I dropped my 250Kg bombs and successfully took it out. I took some damage in the process and began to leak fuel. I turned my crate to the port side and saw I/KG26_Wulf’s Crate go in as if the pilot had been killed. I made a circuit around the airfield looking for other Flak guns, as I noticed large caliber aerial exposions. I was eventually able to locate another gun near the site I had just destroyed. I was able to take out that gun and another large caliber flak gun after yet another circuit. All the while, Migs where in the area and shooting. I also noticed the JU-87’s attacking an area near a bridge engage with Bandits. As I made my circuits around the enemy airfield I observed 12 parked aircraft on the southeast side of the runway and a radio truck near the control tower. I made a pass on the truck. It appeared that I made a successful run on the truck, but my rear gunner was unable to confirm it’s destruction. I then left the area to head for home with no more bombs and leaking fuel. As I egressed out I saw another Mig on my 9 o’clock. He was closing fast. I told my gunners to be ready. My rear gunner called out hits on the Mig and said he peeled of smoking! Uh oh, another one…

Pilot Name: I/KG26_Alpha AircraftType: Ju87B-2 Target Duties: Recon/attack columns/tanks Targets Destroyed: Supply column Mission End Status: landed at Airfield Points: 215
Mission Debriefing:
Took off from Tilsit af with diesel as flight leader of our 4 Ju87's. We were tasked with supporting Ju88 af attack at Tauroggen. All was going well on the egress to target, as the airfield was approaced for attack 2 migs were over the JU88's and duly attacked them, I swung my Stuka around to clear Madjek in a Ju88's six then was attacked bt mobile flak from a column under me, I lost contact with flight leader and supported the Ju88 of Wulf as a Mig swung on his six. The Ju88 flight managed an sucessfull attack on the flak positons but at a high cost as 3 were lost over the airfield and Madjek was shot down after completing his bomb run trying to escape home, I sent my rookie wingman to attack the migs and he damaged ones engine but was eventually overwhelmed but gave me some breathing space before the fighter escorts arrived. Once the af was cleared the HE111's arrived and level bombed the af, leaving me and Diesel to attack the tanks and column. Diving in on the column my sc50's took the mobile flak unit out on the first dive, I turned around climbing out to see Diesel's demise as a tank unit took him down, now im alone flying behind enemy lines with 8 tanks and a column with 1 sc 250, so decision was easy I took out the column and stafed an escaping truck near the town of Lauksargini, the tanks were heading along the MSR to Tilsit. The egress to Tilsit af was uneventful untill I saw 3 Laggs heading to Shaulen, looks like an enemy af there in T-13 KP-1
Landed at base and saw many empty seats in the bar, was a bad afternoons work for our unit.

Pilot Name: Redcoat AircraftType: He111h2 Target Duties: Airfield attack Targets Destroyed: none Mission End Status: RTB safely Points: 0
Mission Debriefing:
Lead the He111h2 flight, with Commish as my number 2, and Elwood in number 3.
Our target was two fold. We were to attack the airfields at Taurogen and Polangen, behind the JU88s who were to target AA positions.
We took off from Memel, with our escort 109s Without and Cowboy, and headed east, climbing to 3500m. We then made a slow right turn on passing the border, so we ran in towards Taurogen heading due south. Around this time, we could hear that the advance guard of JU88s were under attack form Migs and that their losses were heavy. As we continued south, a few grid squares north of target, I asked our escort to push ahead and help out the last remaining JU88. On our run in to target, the airfield came into view at a " 10 to 5" position to us, so I asked Commish to look to the further pad while I targeted the the nearside one, while Elwood, 2km behind us, targeted Commish's pad as a backup. There was no flak fired at us that I could see. Commish made a good drop on what appeared to be a parking area stacked with single engine aircraft, so I informed Elwood, and told him there was a mig landing, rolling out midway down the runway. He dropped, killing some static a/c. My target apeared to be 3 multiengine aircraft with some buildings, loosely clumped together. I dropped, but knocked the bombsite off halfway though, saving a few of my bombs for Polangen. I hit nothing.
We then proceeded west, then norwesterly, to hit the coast slightly south of Memel to go into Polangen heading North. We climbed to around 4000m, and as the runway came into view ( on a north south heading) I targeted the center runway, hoping to hit the control tower and radio truck. The tower came into view to late, and as the flak was extremely heavy, I rolled straight in hoping to divebomb it and use the speed to escape. I took a hit to the right engine before the dive, so I dropped a shade high, with my last couple of bombs, missing again. I ran for Memel, and landed, a few minutes ahead of Commish and Elwood. I belive Elwood dropped short at Polangen. Both pilots showed great flying skills and adaptability. Our escort of Without and Cowboy were excellent too. After engaging at Taurogen, they very quickly caught us up and babysat us all the way. Thanks guys.

Pilot Name:II/KG200 eLWood Aircraft Type:HE-111 H2 2x250kg SC & 8xSC 70 kg Target Duties:Fly backup for Tauroggen, primary Polagen Targets Destroyed:3 parked aircraft (unknown type) Mission End Status:landed Points:60
Mission Debriefing: Took off from airfield east of Memel in flight lead by Redcoat. Took a heading of 90 until we reached the front and proceeded to 180. Kept a buffer of 5 km from front group in case I needed to drop. Redcoat gave the abort when it appeared the Commish's bombs hit target. At 4600 m, I was able to track a MiG 3 landing, and was given the go ahead to drop on that target. I performed a manual release and missed the MiG, but I hit the 3 remaining a/c at the southwest pad. Flight turned to a 270 heading and turned NW until the coast was crossed south of Memel. At a heading of 0 and alt of 4200m,I acquired the enemy airfield south of Polangen, ID'd static a/c at the n/w pad and dropped the remaining 8x70 SC's about 30 m short of the southernmost a/c. After confirming BDA, I headed west over the gulf and turned SSE until I acquired home plate. Landed w/ a small fuel leak due to moderate flak over Polagen airfield.
